***** Jessica Corbin sits down with psychotherapist Janna Wissler to talk about how to creating an authentic life. To illustrate the varied terrain a human encounters on their way to authenticity, Janna shares excerpts from therapy sessions with a client who has been to the dark side and back. Raw, real and encouraging.
Who's Janna?
I'm a fifty-three year old woman.
I've been working with people for 23 years, and I'm getting good.
I love working with people who really want their own, truly satisfying life.
I know that changes are afoot in the way we work, play and govern ourselves - individually, tribally and collectively.
Janna's influences:
Dance, movement, yoga, ta'i chi, the body. Sufism, Buddhism, Taoism, Course in Miracles, radical trust. Michael Teachings, Carl Jung, David Deida, Intuitive Energy, astrology, alchemy, soul cycles. Burning Man, The Matrix Trilogy, the outrageous stuff permeating our culture. The High Sierra, padding barefoot upon granite, meandering under high blue sky. And most recently and amazingly, the jewel in the crown, the system of Human Design.
